Guitar Lesson FAQ
What age can my child start guitar?
We accept guitar students as young as 4 years old. For very young beginners, we often start with ukulele to build coordination before transitioning to guitar. Our teachers make lessons fun and age-appropriate.
Do I need to buy a guitar?
Having a guitar at home for practice is strongly recommended. We can help you pick the right size and type. A quality beginner acoustic or electric guitar is a great starting point. We have instruments available during lessons.
How much do guitar lessons cost?
Guitar lessons are $40 per week (30-minute private sessions), billed monthly at $160–$200 depending on weeks in the month. There’s a one-time $60 enrollment fee. We also offer an Academy 30 package at $997 for 30 lessons (a savings of over $200).
How quickly will I see progress?
Most students can strum through their first complete song within 4–6 weeks of consistent practice. After every lesson, your teacher sends a detailed note summarizing what was covered. Every 12 lessons, you’ll receive a progress video showing growth.
Do you teach acoustic, electric, or both?
Both! Our teachers are proficient in acoustic and electric guitar. We customize the curriculum based on your interests — rock, pop, blues, classical, fingerstyle, jazz, and more.
Do you accept Step-Up Scholarships?
Yes! We are a Step-Up Scholarship direct provider. Your scholarship can cover the enrollment fee and weekly guitar lessons — making music education completely free for qualifying families.
What if my child misses a lesson?
Cancel 24 hours in advance to reschedule at no charge. Last-minute? Take the lesson online via Zoom with pro cameras and sound. If the student can’t attend at all, the teacher records a short video recap so they don’t fall behind.
What makes your guitar lessons different?
Every lesson uses immersive studio-quality sound with pro headphones and mixers. We track progress with lesson notes and videos. Plus, students get real performance opportunities at recitals, band shows with 600+ audience members, and even professionally filmed music videos.
